Party on Powell - Book Ball
Party on Powell celebrates Library’s centennial
The Collingswood Public Library is turning 100 years old and is celebrating with a book-themed birthday party. The library is inviting all residents to help celebrate this milestone birthday at the Book Ball on Saturday, September 17 on Powell Lane from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Powell Lane will be transformed into a book lover’s dream with booked themed cocktails, decorations and entertainment. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite literary character or author and prizes will be awarded for the best author, character and couple.
Tickets for the Book Ball are $60 per person and can be purchased at the Collingswood Public Library (cash or check only). Each ticket includes a buffet dinner, open bar and a live band that will provide music for dancing the night away under the stars. There will also be a silent auction offering the chance to bid on wonderful merchandise and opportunities. All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase books for the Library.
Come help the Library celebrate this historic birthday!
