NJ DEP seeks public comment on Newton Lake dredge plans

 Camden County will soon be dredging Newton Lake and Peter’s Creek. The public comment period ends March 23.

The plans are available for review online here  and in person at Collingswood’s municipal clerk’s office at 678 Haddon Ave, Collingswood.

Citizens can read details about contaminant testing, dredge methods, sludge disposal, environmental impact statements, maps, and more - all topics of interest to Newton Lake fans, especially homeowners, boaters, anglers, bikers and walkers.

Take a look at the plans and then send comments and concerns regarding the dredging before March 23, in writing, to NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection Division of Land Use Regulation, Mail Code 501-021, PO Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625, Attn: Camden County Section Chief.
