On the morning of April 10^th, we hosted an information session for anyone interested in submitting responses to our Request for Qualifications for development of the Speedline. 80 people attended. It was a great demonstration of  interest from the private market in the project.

We gave a presentation on the various redevelopment projects in town to demonstrate to them that we always work to have the project pay for itself and that we have tried to be creative to make projects work for everyone. We reviewed our intent to see a green building, create new parking and maintain the character of our town. Responses are due May 15. Then we begin the process to narrow the field to submit proposals.

For this latest step in the process, the strong interest of the development community is a testament to the strength of this community’s future. We’ll keep you posted.
