Collingswood ‘Races for the Cure’ together
Collingswood will again team up to help fight the battle against breast cancer at the Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia on Sunday, May 9 at 8:30 a.m.
Families and friends can come out to support the cause and make an effort to help find a cure. A bus will leave from the Scottish Rite Auditorium at 6 a.m. on the morning of the race to take participants to the event at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Buses will return around noon. To sign up or for more information contact MaryKay Maley at mnms400@aol.com.
In 1982, Susan G. Komen for the Cure launched a global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Events like the Komen Race for the Cure have helped invest nearly $1 billion to breast cancer research, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
