Thanks to all of you who braved the wet weather last Saturday for our sale.  Many house held their sales, but there are a number of households who will display their treasures this Saturday, May 9!  Be sure to take a ride around town and look for the many yard sales taking place.  While you are venturing out, do not forget to check out Collingswood’s Farmers Market, too!

Attached below is a list of household who will hold a yard sale this Saturday, May 2.  In the event of heavy rains, the sale will be held on May 9. Proud Neighbors would like to thank everyone who made a donation to participate in this event.  We have over 270 houses on the map!  Maps will be available at several of the addresses listed below or print and download by clicking on the Yard_Sale_homes link.  Happy shopping!

Do you have a cluttered attic or basement filled with treasures? If so, start pricing your items. One person’s junk is another’s treasure!  Proud Neighbors of Collingswood is organizing a town-wide yard sale scheduled for Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. (rain date May 9).

A minimum $5 donation (more is welcome) covers advertising, gets your address on our town map that will be distributed to shoppers and secures your permit for a yard sale at your house! 

If having a yard sale at your own property is not up your alley, Proud Neighbors will be seeking donations of collectibles, household items, small furniture, books, toys, etc. No clothing or shoes, please. Hold your donations until the spring and Proud Neighbors chairperson will be happy to pick up these items at your home at the end of April in order to showcase items at a central sales location.

 “This is yet another way to bring the community together and do something green,” said Commissioner Joan Leonard. “Yard sales find new homes for items that would have ended up in a landfill, plus, it’s an extra boost for you wallet!”

Proud Neighbors is also seeking block captains to encourage your neighbors to join the fun!  If you are interested in serving on the planning committee for this big event, would like a permit application or want to donate items please email YardSale@ProudNeighborsOfCollingswood.org or call Sam at 856-240-1029.  Funds raised at this town-wide yard sale will benefit our Collingswood community.
