4th of July traffic/closures/safety information

The Borough of Collingswood’s annual 4th of July fireworks display officially takes place on July 4 at the Collingswood High School stadium (424 Collings Ave) but can be viewed from multiple points in the town. Crowds often gather at Knight Park to view the show as well.

No cars will be permitted in Knight Park on the 4th of July. Spectators are welcome to gather to watch the display in the park, but there will be no park access for any vehicles. Knight Park will be closed to traffic beginning at 8 a.m. on July 4. Parking will be available and free at the Scottish Rite parking lot (315 White Horse Pike), Transfiguration Church (445 N White Horse Pike), County Park lot on N. Newton Lake Drive and Rt 30 and the LumberYard garage public lot (entrance on Atlantic Ave between Collings Ave and Powell Lane).

Collings Soft Closure 6pm (Bettlewood to Browning)
Collings Hard Closure 8:45pm (Park to White Horse) 
Colford Hard Closure 8pm (Collings to Newton Lake Drive) 
Everett Hard Closure 4pm (Collings to Eldridge) 
Everett One Way (Eldridge to Newton Lake) 4pm 
Allen/Sunset/Maple Lanes (Soft Closures) 
Newton/ Newton Lake Drive/Lakeshore (Soft Closures/Bettlewood to Colford) 4pm
Unit Block Eldridge Avenue one way out to Bettlewood 4pm 

There will be no parking on the following streets:
Colford Avenue (Eldridge to Newton Lake) 4pm 
Everett Avenue (Collings to Newton Lake) No Parking on odd side 
Collings Avenue (Park to White Horse) 
Knight Park will be closed to all traffic

Borough officials encourage residents to walk to festivities. Collingswood’s fireworks display includes live music from band To The Max at the High School stadium. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; Show starts at 8 p.m. Fireworks kick off at approximately 9:15 p.m. In the event of inclement weather the fireworks will be postponed to July 5.
