There are extended shopping hours every Friday and Saturday in December and parking is free in the downtown throughout December to make shopping a breeze. Haddon Avenue in Collingswood is decked out with an estimated 300,000 lights so visitors and residents can shop in a winter wonderland and find just the right gifts for underneath the tree. And we make sure it snows in Collingswood.

Friday, November 24 - Tree Lighting at 7pm
Santa descends from atop Borough Hall by way of the Collingswood Fire Department’s ladder truck – just in time for the Borough’s official Tree Lighting Ceremony. Choral groups will sing as the town tree is lit up with twinkling lights and season’s greetings are made by Mayor Jim Maley and Commissioners Joan Leonard and Rob Lewandowski.
Saturday, November 25 - Holiday Parade at 10am
For details on the Holiday Parade, check out the Holiday Parade page! The largest parade in SJ. A decades old tradition. Don't miss First Baptist's annual train show after the Parade, too!
Parade of Lights, Friday, December 8, 7:30 p.m.
For those that enjoy the spectacular Parade of Lights each year, there is a route change for the 2016 event on Friday, December 8, 2017. This year, fire trucks and floats strung in glittering lights will start at the Scottish Rite and drive down West Franklin Ave to Grant Ave toward Knight Park. The Parade will then turn on Browning and follow the park around Park Ave to Collings and back to N. Atlantic Ave to end. Trucks from fire companies and organizations all over the region compete for top honors and prizes. Santa follows on the last truck to greet children and spectators and send season’s greetings. Organizations that would like to be involved can call the Collingswood Fire Department at 856-854-1043. Organizers encourage guests to view the parade around the Knight Park on Browning and Park Avenue sides. Roads will remain open to traffic for the duration of the event – please do not view or let children play in the street. Knight Park will be closed to parking during the event and parking will be prohibited along Browning Road and Park Ave for safety.
Saturday, December 9 – Second Saturday!
The festive lights will make for an extra special Second Saturday event on Dec. 8 starting at 5 p.m. As always, the evening of art and entertainment will host artists, crafters and musicians at studios, galleries, coffee houses and retail shops. Experience art, demonstrations, performances and exhibits at several locations along Haddon Ave.
