Collingswood, New Jersey will be bursting with art, music and activities for all ages on Saturday, May 26, 2018 as Collingswood Partners hosts the 39th Annual May Fair. What began in 1979 as a small “clothesline art exhibit” now encompasses more than a mile of the business district along Haddon Avenue from 10am to 5pm. Rain date is May 27, 2018.
An estimated 50,000 people attended the 2017 event which was expanded to include more blocks and attractions and we expect this year to be even bigger. 200+ artists and crafters will display and sell their unique creations in a juried show. Children will have their day of fun in the “KidZone” featuring pony rides, carnival games, rides and children-friendly crafters.
Multiple stages of live music will feature blues, rock, folk and more. A schedule will be posted closer to the actual date of the event. An antique & classic auto show and Harley-Davidson motorcycle display add to the festival’s appeal. Visitors will also find several Food Courts complimenting the downtown restaurants & cafés.
There will be everything from pulled pork to fancy desserts! May Fair also welcomes the return of the renowned Collingswood Farmers Market offering “Jersey Fresh” produce, flowers and more sold in a delightful open air atmosphere.
Parking is available in the PATCO lots and on side streets. Haddon Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at 6 am. PATCO is a great way to come to May Fair; the Collingswood station is a block from the action! If you need an address to Google or to enter in your GPS, use 678 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108 which is the Borough Hall in the center of town.
Crafters & Artists:
NOTE: All work must be handmade by the artist or crafter. The resale of any merchandise that is manufactured or not personally created is strictly prohibited. We do not accept any type of vendors. Download the application here.
To particpate in May Fair, a group must be a Collingswood registered 501(c)(3). There are no exceptions to this rule. If you are a Collingswood charity and have not received an application by mid-February, contact Terry at email@example.com.
We are no longer accepting outside Food Vendors for the 2018 event.
