Shop Local Cash Mob

Shop Local Cash Mob

It's the time of year we shop local in a BIG way!
The 2019 Collingswood Cash Mob event is Wednesday, September 25, 2019! Help us flood Borough businesses and spend just $25 on September 25 to give our biz a collective *hug.* Prizes, discounts and specials that night - just for keeping it local!

We’re celebrating our businesses with a night of shop local support on September 25 with one evening of shopping in Collingswood. It’s a cash mob - with the goal of bringing as many families, residents and guests to our businesses as we can in just a few hours!

The premise is simple: Organizers and local businesses ask shoppers to spend at least $25 on September 25 during a town-wide shopping event that includes discounts and giveaways. Then enjoy a FREE shop local reception at the The Pop Shop! Reception begins at 6:30PM; prizes are awarded at 7:30PM.

Just spend a minimum of $25 in town. Buy gifts, toys, produce, candy, jewelry, home goods, school supplies, clothing or enjoy a service or evening out – all available from Collingswood merchants. By joining forces for shopping on one evening we show local businesses how much we love them and celebrate our business districts together. Collingswood and Shop Camden County host $25 on the 25th to attract residents and visitors from the county to downtown Collingswood - and most importantly to show our businesses our support.

The event will end with a reception at The Pop Shop Party Room where shoppers can enjoy food, refreshments, wine, giveaways, door prizes and a Collingswood Cash grand prize. Participants must bring receipts totaling $25 or more in Collingswood-purchased goods or services for admission and to be entered for prizes. The event is part of Camden County’s ongoing Buy Local/Shop Local campaign.

If each household in Camden County transitions just $10 per month of their out-of-county retail spending to in-county spending, the economic benefit to the county would be approximately $35 million per year. In Collingswood that economic impact could reach $1.1 million. Camden County and Collingswood teamed up for cash mob events for the past few years that have brought hundreds of shoppers and thousands of dollars to Collingswood merchants.
