Fire Prevention Night | 10/12/23 | 6pm - 8pm
Collingswood will host a Fire Prevention Night in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week on October 12. This free event brings the community together with officials for this annual safety festival.
On Thursday, October 12 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Public Safety Building (434 Haddon Avenue), Collingswood residents, families and guests from around the area can enjoy a Fire Prevention Night featuring games, giveaways, and safety information. This family-friendly event will also include demonstrations as part of an effort to inform people and bring communities and their safety officials closer together.
This event is held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, which is held annually and aims to remind residents about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home and testing them monthly. According to the latest NFPA research, working smoke alarms cut the chance of fatal injury from a fire in half.
Collingswood‘s event will feature fun, music, face painting, and more. Guests can enjoy fire trucks, fire safety education, public safety demonstrations, representatives from local healthcare organizations, and the opportunity to ask questions of local fire officials. The event will be staffed by members of the Collingswood Fire Department along with local officials. See you there!
